Wk 7 – Classmate Conversation – Justin Toguchi

I spoke with Justin Toguchi in class on Thursday. They have been friends ever since their classmate conversation from a previous week.

Justin is a junior from Huntington Beach. He is currently majoring in Environmental Science. He mentioned that he chose that major because Marine Biology was too difficult. Justin is a very outdoorsy person and enjoys snowboarding, snorkeling, and scuba diving. He also works at a reptilian zoo and brings various reptiles to kids’ parties. He spoke about how much he enjoys his job and he is able to relate it to his love for the outdoors as well as the other living beings that inhabit it.

This is pretty random but one of the most interesting topics we touched on was fighting off sharks. He mentioned that punching an aggressive shark in the nose will cause it to flee. I did not know this but I’ll make sure to keep that in mind for the next time I come in contact with a shark.

Justin was a very fun and entertaining person to speak with. He radiated positive energy and I hope to speak with him again.
